U.S. Activities

The United States Partnership for the Decade of Education for Sustainable Development (USPDESD) was formed in 2004 to engage representatives from all levels of education and all sectors--business, government, and civil society--in support of the United Nations Decade of ESD. Several individuals and non-profit organizations formed the US Partnership to raise awareness about ESD and the Decade, and promote grass-roots initiatives and projects to advance the cause. The Partnership has a growing list of over 300 organizations committed to this effort, including emerging leaders and well-known sustainability experts in every sector.
