DESCRIPTION: This program gives students an opportunity
to develop a broad-based understanding of the environment through
the study of a number of disciplines. Applied learning and community
involvement are integral to the program. Sustainable development
is a focus area. An introductory class helped produce a first
ever Greenhouse Gas Emissions Report for Acadia in December 2004,
and another class is currently conducting a paper audit for the
campus.
